roles of characters and relate it to real life. Students develop skills stronghold on writing to express
themselves through persuasive, narratives and descriptive masterpieces.
Middle school math education aims to prepare students for more advanced courses in high school and
build a solid foundation for advanced math. The curriculum often involves a combination of classroom
instruction, collaborative learning, and problem-solving activities. Students engage in a greater sense of
operations with integers, fractions and decimals, algebraic concepts. Equations, using variables, angles,
transformations, and coordinate geometry play a role in problem solving in class. It is also a time of
exploring more data and statistics, percentages, critical thinking skills to use in real-world applications.
Students are also introduced to math software for problem-solving. Scientific calculators and online math
applications are an important part of finding quick solutions for complex problems.
As young students grow their understanding of life around them, the science department nurtures that
enthusiasm! During this age, there is a much wider greater range of topics, providing students with a
foundation in various scientific disciplines. These include an in-depth study of matter, chemical reactions,
and elements in physical science. Students are introduced to cell biology, genetics, ecology, classification,
astronomy, and natural resources. There is emphasis to improve scientific literacy, experimental design,
engineering design process, technology in science in the modern day and understanding of the major
systems.
